Dear Lee,

I was in financial trouble, my business failed, I went to see a lawyer who told me to give him my last $10,000, stop paying any and all bills including employees and “we will have to file for Bankruptcy”.

I was a basket case. I’ve never reneged on any loans, bills, employees, etc.  I physically and mentally a wreak, and I was scared.

My wife told me that she talked to one of her clients, Lee Bruner, about our financial problem, and she said he was aware of others with similar problems and would talk to me.

I went to see Mr. Bruner and discussed my situation, he told me what could happen, step by step from least to worst, bankruptcy however, was and should be the last resort.

When I left Mr. Bruner’s office. I was much calmer.  I had an idea of what could happen next, that is, when and how the shoes were going to drop, and they did.  Mr. Bruner said, “call me when they happen.”

As each shoe dropped, which by the way made me nuts, I spoke to Mr. Bruner who first of all calmed me down-we discussed what form of contact I received from my creditors and how I could answer or not answer these inquires.

Each of these contacts was one of the scenarios that Mr. Bruner discussed with me at our first meeting.  There were no surprises and I quickly began to trust his insight to these financial situations.

It has been many years since my first talk with Lee and there have been several conversations with him during this time.  We have not filed for bankruptcy and maybe we never will. Lee remains ready to talk to me any time I feel I have a need to talk.

I owe a lot of my sanity to Lee.  He is a great coach and counselor and most of all Lee is a very kind and generous person.

Dear Lee,

I have been praying a long time about if I was doing the right thing, as this was a big step for me without my husband.  We were married 35 years and I feel lost without him to make decisions.  I want you to know I really appreciate all you have done for me and I know God will bless you for it.  Thank you again for helping me, this is a wonderful interest rate and I know it was my prayers being answered.  I can honestly say I will recommend you to all my friends and neighbors.
